Attestation of Documents & Legalization

Attestation of documents such as
power of attorney and authority letter etc. should be signed by
the executants in front of the Embassy’s Consular Officer. Copy
of the passport, NICOP/CNIC should accompany the document to be
attested. Moreover, it should either be attested by the Notary
Public or two witnesses.

For attestation of documents
originating in Ireland, attestation by the Department of Foreign
Affairs, Dublin is a pre-requisite.

For attestation of documents
originating in Pakistan attestation byPakistan’s Ministry of
Foreign Affairs or its camp offices in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta
or Peshawar is a pre-requisite. Please note that Birth
Certificates are issued by Local Government authorities in
Pakistan. Such certificates must by dully attested by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad.
